Apostle Jerry P. Cumberbatch Sr. began his tenure in ministry in 1991 under the late Bishop James F. Copeland of Brooklyn Tabernacle Deliverance Center and Apostle William J. Denson where he served as an Evangelist. He also served in the hospital, prison, and shelter ministries. He attended Community Bible Institute and completed several courses including Bible Survey 1 and 2, General Bible I and II, Post Graduate I and II, Old Testament, New Testament, Evangelism, Governmental Ministries, Holy Spirit and His Gifts, Missions, Faith Dynamics, the Book of Revelation, and Intercessory Prayer. After a while, Apostle Cumberbatch was led by the Lord to serve at Spirit and Word Christian Center where he became an ordained pastor under Pastor Michael Kenton. Later on, he was called by the Lord back to Brooklyn Tabernacle Deliverance Center to serve as a part of the ministerial staff.  Later on, he was called to serve at Tabernacle of Praise International Ministries under Pastors Carl and Derida Delflorimonte as a Youth Pastor. After a while, God impressed upon Apostle Cumberbatch’s heart to establish Come As You Outreach Ministries in 2009 located in Brooklyn, NY where he became ordained as an apostle on June 28, 2012 by Apostle William J. Denson. Apostle Cumberbatch is the President of Come As You Are Bible College located in Brooklyn, NY. He also serves as a teacher in How to Study the Bible, Intercessory Prayer, Bible Survey (Old and New Testament), Faith, Leadership Training I and II, and the Holy Spirit and His Gifts.  Apostle Cumberbatch is aware of the mantle that has been placed on his life and the responsibility to minister and live in integrity. Since retiring with NYC Housing Authority in 2017, Apostle Cumberbatch has dedicated his life to full-time ministry for the Lord diligently seeking after God’s Word and will. In 2018, he obtained his Chaplaincy Certificate with Clearview Ministries where he is registered with the Suffolk County Police Department 3rd Precinct in Bayshore, NY as well as his Mental Health First Aid Certificate from the National Council for Behavioral Health. He continues to be involved in outreach ministries in prisons, shelters, and hospitals.   Apostle Cumberbatch resides in Bayshore, NY with his wife, Lynne. Apostle Jerry and Lynne Cumberbatch have six children and ten beautiful grandchildren. Anointed and gifted, Apostle Cumberbatch continues to travel and minister the Word. 

Apostle Lynne Myers Cumberbatch

Apostle Lynne Myers Cumberbatch was born again in 1979. She started serving as a member in  Jesus Life Ministry under Pastor Robert H. Ragland as a member of the Praise and Worship team and as the Children's Ministry teacher. Thereafter, the Lord directed her to join Holy City Faith and Deliverance Center of Love under Mother Apostle Callie M. Jasper. Apostle Cumberbatch served on the praise team and became one of the worship leaders. Shortly after, she was released as a Prophet and joined the company of Prophets. Later, Apostle Cumberbatch became ordained as a minister as she continued to serve and assist Apostle Jasper and the other Apostles. While serving, she earned a Bachelor of Theology in Christian Education and Masters of Theology from Eagle Bible Institute. Afterward, Apostle Cumberbatch became ordained as an Elder at Holy City Faith and Deliverance Center of Love.  The Lord began leading Apostle Cumberbatch to go back to serve under Apostle Robert H. Ragland, the founder of the Victorious Triumphant Word Ministry. She served as the head of the Praise and Worship Team and ministered the Word prophetically. She also taught a bible class on Getting A Grip on The Basics by Beth Jones to the young people. Apostle Cumberbatch also started doing Evangelistic Outreach with Pastor Florita King at the Bowery's Women's House in New York City once per year. It was a privilege for her to minister to these women, and to share her testimony to encourage them. In the past, Apostle Cumberbatch and her son went through hard times and entered the homeless shelter system for 3 years. This gave her a greater compassion and sympathy for the women in the shelter.  Meanwhile, God released Apostle Cumberbatch from Victorious Triumphant Word Ministry to establish the Rich in the Word International Outreach Ministry conference call line for women to study the bible, which operated for six months.  Afterward, she began to fellowship with God's Outreach Center of Deliverance under Pastor Tonya Holloway under her watch-care, and God gave her further instructions to move forward where she connected with Come As You Are Outreach Ministry. In addition to ministering yearly at the Bowery, she started ministering to the women monthly at the NYC Rescue Mission with Pastor Florita King. Thereafter, she began fellowshipping with Come As You Are Outreach Ministries and soon became a member where she was consecrated into the office of Apostle under Apostle Jerry P. Cumberbatch Sr. The Lord united Apostles Jerry and Lynne Cumberbatch in marriage in September 2017 and blessed them with six children and ten beautiful grandchildren. Apostle Cumberbatch currently serves as the Saturday School Superintendent. Together, Apostles Jerry and Lynne Cumberbatch continue evangelistic outreach to the NYC Rescue Mission general population. Apostle Cumberbatch's mission statement is Proverbs 4:7, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding" (KJV).  If you can understand it, then you can do it!
